Reading and downloading an e-book

  • You can download PDF-chapters onto your computer.
  • You can't download the entire book at once.

Reading online (PC)

  • In Helka click the word "Online resource".
  • You can read the book in PDF-mode - you'll need an Adobe Reader. Adobe Reader is free of charge.
  • You can read one chapter at a time.
  • In coursebooks there is a limit to 6 simultaneous users. These limits are mentioned in Helka.

    Some textbooks (mainly City Center Campus subject fields) are also availabe - with the restriction of 6 simultaneous users.

  • Cambridge Books Online includes lots of books that aren't licensed to Helsinki University Library. You can find the material licensed to Helsinki University by using search-option: Advanced search-> Limited to Your Access.

Downloding onto a mobile device

  • You can download PDF-chapters onto your mobile device.

Reading a book with your mobile device
